Simon & Camilla
Camilla and Simon Warren were married in April 2013 at St James Church in Holetown followed by an evening reception at St Nicholas Abbey. They had a traditional, formal wedding with a pale pink and white colour theme. Guests arrived at St Nicholas Abbey at 5pm and were ushered through the house to the terrace overlooking the gully. The Barbados Police Band were playing at the back of the house and guests enjoyed cocktails in the rum bond and on the terrace underneath the large outdoor chandeliers and overlooking the elegantly lit gulley. Whilst guests enjoyed welcome cocktails Camilla and Simon took the opportunity to have wedding photographs at the beautiful Cherry Tree Hill overlooking the East Coast and also part of the plantation as well as photos with the wedding party outside the Great House.
A marquee was erected on the front lawn to the right of the house where approximately 190 guests enjoyed a sit down meal and dancing to a lively local band situated under our permanent bandstand. Tables of 10 guests were set with silver chiavari chairs and small bottles of St Nicholas Abbey rum as a favour (personalised ones for the bridal party) with pale pink menus featuring a sketch of St Nicholas Abbey Great House placed on the napkin for every guest. Pale pink lighting was used in the marquee and every table was decorated with large glass cocktail style vases filled with white and pale pink roses, hydrangeas and babies breath. A traditional black and white tiled dance floor set the scene for the party and modern white bars were used for drinks during the party.
