St. Nicholas Abbey has a small gift shop offering locally made crafts and products, including brown sugar, molasses, rum cake, chutneys, jellies and jams. These preserves are made with time-honoured local recipes using some of the fruits and vegetables grown in the plantation’s own orchards and gardens.
St. Nicholas Abbey Rum, sold locally only at the plantation, is also available in the gift shop. Visitors can have their rum bottles engraved with a custom message (at no additional charge) for a truly unique souvenir or gift to take home.
The shop also features beautifully made crafts from a select group of local artisans, including baskets, sculpture and artwork as well as locally written books for adults and children. St. Nicholas Abbey souvenirs include pottery, glassware, tea towels and more featuring unique images of the plantation.
The Warren Family is actively expanding the St. Nicholas marketplace to include fresh produce and other traditional Barbadian products, further ensuring the plantation’s sustainability as a living, working entity for generations to come.
Kindly note the gift shop is only accessible with a paid entrance fee. For those wishing to refill their St. Nicholas Abbey Rum Bottles through our loyalty programme, a paid entrance fee will also be required; please bring the clean bottle when you visit and we will refill it for 50% off the current retail price. The age of rum available are subject to availability.
