February Moonlit Dinner Review
On Saturday 4th February we held our second Moonlit Dinner of the season at St Nicholas Abbey. Thankfully we had a gloriously clear evening with the moon seemingly acting as a spotlight on the Abbey....unlike our first moonlit dinner of the season in January which saw unseasonable rain beating down on us all evening and all tables moved inside!
Around 70 guests joined us for a cocktail reception followed by a seated buffet style dinner offering many Bajan delicacies. Pork, chicken, beef, stuffing, sauces, sweet potatoe souffle, rice, vegetables and much more not to mention the divine trio of miniature desserts. Guests dined on the terrace beneath our outdoor chandeliers and the full moon with a view over the Gulley which had been specially lit for the evening. As usual, Neville the Devil and his band were on hand to provide their unique one of a kind old time music under our terrace band stand which attracted a full dance floor all evening once the dancing had been started by Simon and Camilla!
Larry Warren and his beautiful wife Anna were present all evening ensuring everyone had a good time and Mr Warren was seen passing round samples of the 12 yr old St Nicholas Abbey Rum after dinner.
We had a wonderful evening and are very much looking forward to our next Moonlit Dinner of the season which will take place on Saturday 10th March from 7pm which also happens to be Simon's 29th birthday so come and help us celebrate!
